During 2010, a Data System Enhancements workgroup was developed to include selected expert data custodians, representatives from the Early Steps State Office (ESSO) and other external stakeholders. The workgroup met to identify needed changes to the data system.
From the workgroup's recommendations, a list of requests was created, with priorities assigned by members of the Enhancement Workgroup. ESSO then reviewed the priorities and developed a condensed list of items to be changed or created within the data system. Each item has a number (e.g., ES54).
This list was written up into a 11/01/10 contract amendment. In the contract, items were grouped into 5 separate deliverables based on the part of the data system affected, dependencies, and order of implementation.

Changes to the existing data system and reporting
Creation of an IFSP Table to capture all IFSP dates, including each Periodic Review.
Modifying the existing Demographic record into "Enrollment Records" that will be very similar to the Demographic record but allow LES Centers to record multiple participation periods (referral through a discharge) and accomodate the need to restart timelines for re-referrals
- Creating custom Service Coordinator Reports to assist LES Centers in identifying trigger dates and due dates in advance instead of always reporting after the due dates are past.
